Rick Jeffares’ Plan for Georgia Government: Shrink it Down and Make it Work
Life experiences and business ownership have taught Rick the value of hard work. Putting himself through college drives him to make education affordable and relevant. Experiences with the EPA and the alphabet soup of state and federal agencies that regulate water and sewer systems taught him that government often gets in the way of good people doing the right things to help their communities.
Rick wants to keep our government focused on its core mission and ensure that Georgia remains the best state in the country in which to live and work.
As Lieutenant Governor, Rick will take the approach he has always taken to make our government work. He will focus on the following key principles:
- Conservative Values
- Fiscal Discipline
- Logical Transportation Policy
- Technical Education
- Rural Economic Development
- The State Budget
- Repeal Regulations 2 to 1 with Passage of New Ones
- Tuition Costs
- Tax Burden
- Ethics Laws
- Taylor’s Law for terminally ill children
- Getting government out of the beer business
